Copilot in SharePoint: knowledge, Agents and workflows
SharePoint is where Copilot starts to feel much more connected to organisational knowledge and processes. It is also where permissions, site ownership, preview status and admin settings matter a lot.

What you may encounter in SharePoint
| Capability | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ask questions about site content | Use approved SharePoint information as context, subject to your existing permissions. |
| Create a SharePoint Agent | Build a scoped helper around selected sites, pages, files, libraries or lists where supported. |
| Share an Agent with a team | Other users can interact with it, but their own permissions and licensing still affect what they can use or see. |
| Create or improve SharePoint content with Copilot | Use natural language to help create pages, lists, libraries and other supported content where the feature is available. |
| Set up workflow rules | Describe a simple automation and let the SharePoint/Workflows experience help configure it where available. |
| Move to Power Automate | Use Power Automate when the process needs more advanced triggers, actions, connectors or management. |
Awarding-organisation examples
A qualification team could create an Agent scoped to approved development guidance; centre support could use an Agent against published internal procedures; a document library workflow could flag or route newly uploaded centre evidence; and a quality team could use a List or library as a controlled source for repeatable operational work.
