Browse use cases by what you have access to
The use-case library is now organised around the access journey people actually experience. Start with what you have today, then explore what becomes possible as more licensing, admin enablement, grounding or automation capability is added.

The access stages used in the Library
| Library stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Start here | Useful things most staff can do with Microsoft 365 and Copilot Chat now. |
| Personal Agents | Simple saved specialist helpers using instructions, public information or deliberately limited knowledge. |
| Premium Copilot | Work-grounded Microsoft 365 Copilot, including richer Chat and supported in-app experiences. |
| Richer Agents | Agents grounded in approved organisational knowledge or shared with colleagues. |
| Automate basics | Standard Power Automate workflows that usually do not need AI. |
| Add AI to flows | Power Automate processes that use AI for extraction, classification, generation or interpretation. |
| Build business tools | Power Apps, Dataverse, premium automation, business-system connections and analytics. |
| Organisational Agents | Copilot Studio Agents with controlled knowledge, actions, connectors or channels. |
| Advanced & governed | Cowork, unattended automation, agent estate management and higher-assurance governance. |
How to read an individual use case
Look at the stage first, then the licence dependency, credit dependency, risk, prerequisites and limitations. Those fields explain whether the example should work with your current access, needs an upgrade, depends on an admin setting, or requires a governed implementation.
