Copilot Notebooks: build a controlled working context
A Copilot Notebook gives you a focused AI workspace built around references you deliberately bring together. That can make project work much easier, but the quality of the result still depends on what you selected, what you can access and what may be missing.

What you can bring into a Notebook
| Reference type | What it is useful for |
|---|---|
| Files and pages | Policies, procedures, specifications, reports, spreadsheets, presentations and working notes. |
| SharePoint sites, libraries and folders | A controlled body of organisational content that the user already has permission to access. |
| Outlook emails | Bring relevant conversations and decisions into the project context where the richer reference type is available. |
| Teams meetings | Use meeting transcripts, notes, chat and shared content as project context where supported. |
| Links and other supported references | Keep the Notebook focused on the sources deliberately chosen for the task. |
Awarding-organisation example
For a policy or qualification review, a Notebook could bring together the controlled policy, relevant regulatory material, previous review notes, a project meeting, key correspondence and an evidence spreadsheet. Copilot can then help identify themes, compare positions, prepare questions and draft a briefing from that selected context.
