Power Automate: when the work should run as a process
Power Automate is the point where a useful idea becomes a process that can keep running without someone remembering to prompt Copilot. That persistence is valuable, but it also makes ownership and lifecycle management essential.

Awarding-organisation examples
| Trigger | Action |
|---|---|
| A centre submits a form | Create a case/list item and notify the right team. |
| A policy review date approaches | Send reminders to the owner and escalate if overdue. |
| A document is uploaded to SharePoint | Notify a reviewer or start a controlled review process. |
| An EQA action becomes overdue | Post a Teams alert and remind the owner. |
| A complaint email arrives | Create a record and send an acknowledgement without using AI where AI is not needed. |
Why this is a bigger governance step
A Chat prompt disappears when the conversation ends. A flow can continue running every day. That means the organisation needs to know who owns it, which connections it uses, what happens when it fails, and who takes responsibility if the original maker leaves.
