Premium Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot Premium

This is the point where Copilot becomes much more connected to the work you already have permission to access. The main unlock is richer work grounding and deeper Microsoft 365 integration, not simply 'more buttons'.

Typical products and features

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with Work IQ
  • Copilot in Word
  • Copilot in Excel
  • Copilot in PowerPoint
  • Copilot in Outlook
  • Copilot in Teams
  • Researcher
  • Analyst
  • Copilot Notebooks
  • Copilot Pages

Best-fit users

  • Senior leaders
  • Heads of qualification
  • Policy leads
  • Quality assurance leads
  • Product managers
  • Operations managers
  • Customer support managers
  • Governance leads

Extra cost risk: Paid licence; some advanced capabilities can still be separately metered or admin-controlled

Watch-outs

  • The Premium licence does not mean every Microsoft 365 AI feature is automatically enabled.
  • Permissions hygiene matters more because Copilot can use work context the user is already allowed to access.
  • App experiences differ: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams do not all expose identical capabilities.
  • Keep sensitive meeting scenarios such as safeguarding, HR, malpractice, appeals and complaints under explicit policy and review.
